About Us
Harrisburg Area Confirmation Camp, or Confirmation Camp or even just Con Camp as we call it, is a place where you can come as you are. Started in the early 70’s as a cooperative ministry of Harrisburg city Lutheran churches, Harrisburg Area Confirmation Camp is now a community made up of churches from all over the Lower Susquehanna Synod, including Harrisburg, Camp Hill, Lancaster, Mechanicsburg, Hershey, and more, where we work to be a loving community that the Holy Spirit can move through.
For the past 50+ years, Harrisburg Area Confirmation Camp has provided a space for confirmation students and beyond to learn and grow in their own faith, empower them to share their gifts, and create relationships that will last a lifetime.
Harrisburg Area Confirmation Camp has grown and evolved a lot in the past 5 decades! From its beginning with one confirmation cohort, Con Camp now offers 3 years of confirmation programming for middle schoolers, along with 3 additional years of continuing education for high schoolers. We are also proud of the leadership training and opportunities we provide to young leaders in the church, giving them space to grow and shape the future of our ministry.
Alumni of Harrisburg Area Confirmation Camp carry with them a legacy of faith, friendship, and experiences that empowers them to embrace their faith and become leaders in their communities. Many of those who have attended Harrisburg Area Confirmation Camp have gone on to be counselors and staff at Con Camp, as well as pastors, youth workers and more!
